CTE Pathway Information
Are you familiar with CTE pathways?
💥A CTE pathway is a sequence of two or more CTE courses within a student’s area of career interest. Pathways are designed to connect high school classes to college, industry certifications, and/or a career.
💥While in high school, students have the opportunity to acquire free technical skills training in the career field he/she is interested in. Students will learn valuable technical skills and soft skills making them employable regardless of the field of study they actually end up in."
💥WPHS will be offering the following CTE Pathways during the upcoming school year:
Teaching and Training
Engineering and Applied Mathematics
Government and Public Administration
Power, Structural and Technical Systems
💥ALL students are welcome to be part of a CTE pathway. The students work with the guidance counselor to identify a pathway they are interested in, and then enroll in classes accordingly. There is no admission criteria as all our classes are open to all our students unless a prerequisite for a certain class exists.
💥Superintendent Jeff Jones is Title IX coordinator and 504 coordinator. For more info, contact Mr. Jones at 785-731-2352.
