Flax, Kisslinger crowned Bobcat homecoming royalty
On Friday, October 2nd, in a non-traditional Homecoming crowning ceremony, WPHS seniors Jaztyn Kisslinger and Jayme Flax were crowned as Western Plains Fall Homecoming queen and king.
Kisslinger, a four year member of the volleyball team, and Flax, a four year member of the football team, were selected by their peers for the honor in the Student-Council sponsored event.
Typically, the ceremony takes place at a Friday night football game, but this year, it took place in a pep rally ceremony in front of the student body instead, as there was no Friday night football game.
Kisslinger and Flax both felt very proud to receive this recognition. “I was honored to be voted as homecoming queen by my peers even though our homecoming looked a little bit different this year,” commented Kisslinger.
Congratulations to Kisslinger and Flax on their crowning!
