Western Plains High School is proud to announce that Jaztyn Kisslinger, Jayme Flax, and head coach Joe Spangler are going to be representing Western Plains at the six-man All-Star football game in June.
This game recognizes players that are the best senior six-man football players across the state. Players are nominated and voted on by coaches across Kansas. “I am glad I got to nominate Jayme. Many coaches knew/remembered who Jayme was and felt he deserved to represent and play for the six-man All-Star team. It is an honor to be able to go and help coach Jayme in his last game as a high school player,” stated Coach Spangler.
Even though the Western Plains football team did not have a season this year, Flax is more than eager to get back on the field and play the last game of his senior year.
Kisslinger was also nominated by Coach Spangler and will be attending the game asa cheerleader. Kisslinger has been a cheerleader for all four years of her high school experience and is more than deserving of this honor. “Being selected for the all-state cheer team was a privilege that I was not expecting. I am honored to represent my school, as no one from Western Plains has ever been selected for this opportunity. I am enthusiastic about the chance to meet new people and cheer on my friend and classmate, Jayme Flax,” commented Kisslinger.
