USD 106 to offer college reimbursement policy

College Dual Credit and College Online classes have become an integral part of the curriculum at Western Plains High School.

Beginning in the 2019-2020 school year, to offset those costs for students at Western Plains High School, each students will be able to be reimbursed for the costs of college tuition and books for up to $2000 during the time the student is in attendance at Western Plains High School.

For each year a student attends Western Plains High School, USD 106 will allow for up to $500 per year to be used for college tuition and books. For a student who attends Western Plains High School for four years, the accumulation for that student is $2000.

Students will be reimbursed for the cost of their class at the conclusion of each semester. After a student completes a class for college credit with a grade of
a “C” or better the school with reimburse the parents of that student for the cost of tuition and books for up to $2000 for the entirety of his or her four years of attendance at Western Plains High School.

The student who has completed the college class for credit with a “C” grade well submit record of the completion of the course with his or her letter grade to the high school principal who will submit the proof and requisition for reimbursement to the district clerk for disbursement within 30 days.
